Complete and Total Inspiration

This reminds me of my early days in filmmaking and why I have chosen to travel down the beaten path of the film industry. I think it speaks to the entire 80s/90s film kids who are now just out of college trying to make their mark.

God bless the Angry Video Game Nerd.

Mark Goffman, New Internship

I'll be reading scripts and doing various organizational work for the Goff man. He was a writer/producer on The West Wing and Studio 60. He's currently a writer/producer on The Beast. I got hooked up through my roomates. One interned for him before and now works with his wife. The other is editing a project for him about Terry Fator's Las Vegas show. Below is a trailer for his latest project.

Santa Gnom

An exercise in filmmaking by the directors of Titan Sting, Jesus Blues, and Sister Mary Catherine's Happy Fun Time Abortion Adventure. Music by good friend and genious Alfredo Barraza.

The Beginning

I was talking to a friend online who was listening to his old radio show he did online. This reminded me of a time during high school where I had my own radio show. My high school back in Sacramento was lucky enough to have it's own radio station, 91.5 KYDS. I was on during 6th period on Mondays and Fridays, so like 2pm-3pm. I mostly talked about film. What films I'd seen recently, and why liked them. Remembering this time reminded me how much I enjoy voicing my opinions about film and how filmmakers go about telling stories and making characters relatable to audiences. They are more than opinions really. It's a sort of active thinking that helps me understand my goals as a filmmaker, and how to fine tune methods other filmmakers have already utilized.

I thought it was time to return to this type of activity. Without a radio outlet, I'm thinking blogging is the next best thing.
